Class Rules
•Be in seat ready to work when the tardy bell rings.
•Have all materials ready in class every day.
•Be respectful of all people in the classroom.
Materials Used
•Textbook, Pens (Blue or Black) or Pencils, 3 Ring Binder with loose leaf paper, dividers, outside reading sources
Beginning Class
•At the beginning of class, DOL will be on the board.
•First, write the sentences as they are in your notebook.
•Next, correct the sentences in your notebook.
•We will go over the sentences together.
Leaving Class
•You will have two bathroom passes each nine weeks.
•These passes can only be used for bathroom passes.
•If these passes are not used, they will turn into bonus points on the nine week average.
Ending Class
•Most days we will work up to the bell.
•The bell lets me know that you need to move on to the next class.
•The bell does not dismiss you, I will.
•If you dash out of my classroom, you may miss important information.
Make-up Work
•You are responsible for your make up work.
•You have three days to get your assignments and get them turned in.
•Each Tuesday morning is designated for make up test from the week before. If you miss the make up test day, then you will receive a zero.
Grading Procedures
•Your grade will be made up of three different grades.
–Tests/Essays = 50%
–Homework/Classwork = 30%
–Notebook = 20%
•No late work will be taken without an excused absence.
